The "what" thing is Auditory Processing Disorder. I got diagnosed as an adult when I took my son in for a hearing test & he was diagnosed with it. Neither one of us has ADHD.

We say "what" not because it is a default,but because we really think that we didn't heard it until the connection is fixed, because the info is not there yet...

I try so hard not to cut people off. A lot of times it’s because they took a breath and paused, so I think the sentence is done. Or my brain gets really excited about thinking it found the answer to the end of the sentence and somehow I feel like they’re gonna be excited that I totally knew where they were going with their sentence. Which logically I know is not how anyone feels about someone finishing their sentences for them. But I just get some weird dopamine hit for completing the puzzle in my mind and my mouth opens before I can stop it.
