Vanilla Bean Key Lime Pie🍋‍🟩🥧 #keylimepie #keylime #dessert #Recipe #pie  Start out by getting 2 pounds of key limes, and squeeze out 1 cup worth of juice.  Then add it to a bowl along with: -28 ounces of sweetened condensed milk -1/3 cup of heavy whipping cream -1/2 cup of sour cream  -1 tablespoon of lime zest -1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste  -3 egg yolks    Whisk it all together until smooth.  Then for the crust, in a bowl add:   -1 cup crushed Nilla Wafers  -1 cup of crushed Biscoff cookies (my original recipe actually calls for crushed graham crackers, so you can use those instead if you prefer)  -1/2 cup of light brown sugar  -8 tablespoons of melted butter (that has been cooled to room temperature) Mix it all together until well combined. Then get a pie dish, add in the mixture, and firmly press in the crust.  Add in your filling and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. (Baking time will be determined by the pie dish you’re using, so the smaller the pie dish the longer it will take since it will be thicker.)  You’ll know it’s done when the edges are firm to touch, and the pie has a firm jiggle to it.  Then let it set in the fridge for no less than 4 hours (but preferably overnight), and make sure it’s served straight from the fridge.   I like to top the pie off with my Vanilla Bean Whipped cream.  To make this, in a large mixing bowl add: -2 cups heavy whipping cream -1 cup powdered sugar -1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste  Whisk this together with an electric mixer until firm peaks form.  Then pipe it on to the pie or spread it on top.  This is the only recipe I’ve filmed annually because so many people love and revisit it.
