all my kids are named after family members and my kids having carried on the tradition with their children. my sweet little granddaughter is named after my sister. I'm sure you know her... Amanda Lanier. 😊 she was a teacher at Lafayette High School. I look at my precious granddaughter and know how much my sister would have loved her!! I miss her every day. she was my most favorite person. grief is awful.

When my mom was pregnant with me she saw a blue box car with Angelina and Reeves River (TX company). she decided if it was a girl the name would be Angelina, if it was a boy, the name would be Reeve. Well here I am, Angelina 😊 Later my sister contacted the company and they sent me a picture of the box car framed along with a book about their company. It was really cool!🥰

i was named after my granddaddy! he was upset with my mom that she didn’t name her first son after him and was adamant i take his first name—which was Varney. she absolutely did not want her son to be named Varney, so she gave me his middle name—Wesley :)

My daughter got her middle name Eisley from when I was pregnant and watching a baby story on TLC and they named their baby Eisley and I just loved it. She now wishes it was her first name lol

My mother named all six of her children after a movie star or singer. Our middle names anyway. Mine is Cynthia Dale Hunt/Clutts. I was named after Dale Evans. I think she was a western star that my mom was fond of. I don’t really like the name. It sounds more like a guy’s name. Even though I know it can go either way.

I love Adam Sandler. He and my brother, Jeff, have the same sense of humor. We lost Jeff at 27 in a car accident and when I see Adam Sandler’s movies it reminds me of him so much and makes me laugh.

I am named after my mom's sister, Joyce. They were pregnant at the same time; however, Joyce lost her baby. So, I was named after her. After momma died, I found a letter that Aunt Joyce wrote her right after I was born, and she told her how happy she was to have a "namesake." She wrote that her name really never meant much to her until I was born and given her name. Aunt Joyce gifted me beautiful rings at special times in my life. The last ring she gifted me was a beautiful smoky brown topaz, that she wore often. She said it always reminded her of my beautiful brown eyes. 😍 🤎

I love 90 Day Fiancé and so does my husband although he won’t admit it. One of the couples named their daughter “Mylah” and I thought it was such a cute name. FF to when we had our daughter, we were stuck on names and I said how about the name Myla? Ended up being the only name we could agree on. Our Myla is 4 now and recently that same couple was on a spin-off show and mentioned their daughter Mylah. My husband goes oh they have a Myla(h) too…I just stared at him and he said don’t tell me we named Myla after 90 Day Fiancé 🤣🤣🤣

I’d chosen my daughter’s names long before I knew her dad, so I couldn’t have known that her last name would start with a P. She’s named Victoria Inez after my grandmother, making her initials VIP. People often accuse me of doing that on purpose, but I swear I didn’t even think about it! 😂

Enjoy your sweet love stories so much! My husband, Chris, and I couldn’t decide on a name for our first born son but we knew we wanted it to start with C or K. On July 17, ‘90 we watched the sitcom, Coach. The main character was a football coach named, Hayden Fox. On the very next day our son, Cayden, was born! 🏈💙 (3 guesses what he does for a living!😜 🤍🧡 Go VOLS!)

Throughout my mom’s pregnancy, the doctor told her I was a boy (it was in 1989 and I was positioned funny). When I was born, the doctor was even completely shocked that I was a girl. Originally, I was named Kyle Blake after my dad, but when I came out as a girl, my mom had no girl names. Tiffany the 80s singer was on her hospital room tv while I was in the nursery and Marie is my mom’s middle name. So that’s how I was named. 🩷
