I’ve been nursing/pumping for 6.5 months and I have no idea when I’ll stop. I have a huge freezer stash since I’m an over producer and I’ve barely made a dent in it because we exclusively BF and I’m nervous it’s going to go to waste. I’m thinking about cutting out a feed or two to get through my frozen milk but idk

1st birthday present for myself is to be done breastfeeding! so I weaned off carefully the few weeks before with lots of ice and ibuprofen to prevent mastitis!

Your body may tell you too. I wasn’t producing enough milk at 4 months and had to start supplementing. After supplementing (and for personal sanity), I capped out at 6 months 😆 I may be weird, but in hindsight I actually wish I had stopped sooner because breastfeeding was very stressful and isolating, and guess what- the kid is fine lol… healthy, rarely gets sick, eats normal, sleeps 8hrs through the night, no allergies- bottom line, if you don’t enjoy it, you don’t need to do it 🤷🏻♀️

Pumping is so much more time consuming then just feeding from the tap lol with my first we breastfed until 13 months and then my milk dried bc I was pregnant now I’m 4 months into BF & pumping again. It’s truly a labor of love and just remind myself everyday how beneficial it is for them! However with my first I was ready to stop at 1 yr. But it was hard and he want ready every time I tried until he eventually self weaned.

I exclusively BF Tana for 7 months (but gave her bottles of my milk so I could go out and drink more lol etc). Then around 7 months I weaned off and did just morning and nights and supplemented with formula in between. Now I just do nights and trying to make it to her first bday!! Everyone so diff! You do what you wanna do mama 🩷🩷
