My ringer has been off for 20 years. I hate when it rings. People need to remember that just because we have a cellphone doesn’t mean they’re entitled to my time and energy.

I leave it on, and let it vibrate for most notifications. It would be weird to place it in do not disturb mode during the day.

Very few people contact me, I keep mine on because my dad is in poor health/both parents are aging/lots of other worrying fucked family stuff that also plays in. Severe PTSD, OCD - I can't miss an emergency call from family, basically. I mute everything except phone calls and text messages. I'm in therapy twice a week lol

Right?! I have my kid on emergency breakthrough which bypasses the do not disturb setting… other than that I’ll get to you when I get to you. 3 to 5 business days is standard. 👩🏻🦰 I have far too much anxiety for notifications.

Pro tip my kid taught me. You can create groups for do not disturb. So only my kids, school or family can contact me. For him at night he has only emergency contacts so his friends don’t keep him up, very responsible.

I dont use DND but I keep it muted and have notifications for most things turned off. only time the ringer is on is if I'm expecting an important call that I dont want to miss.

Yep that’s me. I can’t handle all the distractions and, more importantly, the iOS UI is set up so that a lot of important buttons are placed exactly where toast notifications come in, so I’m constantly being taken out of whatever I’m doing by the poor placement of incoming notifications. Sorryyyyy!

I keep it on DND. but I have a handful of people whose calls will actually make noise...like my parents. or if the same number calls more than once within 15 min like in an emergency situation

His take is so weird. I honestly just forget to take it out of do not disturb but tbh if I didn’t have it in dnd I wouldn’t get any sleep. Plus, my coworkers would complain if it was constantly dinging.

I literally don’t know what my ringtone is, lol. And I can’t figure out how to turn vibrate off when I have it in silent mode on my new phone, but as soon as I do, that’s off too!

My Body my Choice. My mental Health, my Choice. Therefore it’s on “do not disturb” 24/7 with times in flight mode. Most important people can get trough - others will get an answer when I decide that it is worth my time and I got the energy for it
