Chicago is not even in the top 20 cities. But you know who is red state cities. Red states have higher crime rates than Chicago per capita. See they don't like to do the per capita.

Quick look on the FBI website, if you remove the "more than a million people" criterion, Chicago is actually 22nd for homicides per 100k people as of 2024 stats. Number 1 is Birmingham, Alabama - how amazing that the Republicans don't care about invading that city at all /s
