I do feel that this is over simplified or does not fit all presentations. Some presentations will come from the thoracic joint, thoracic -rib joint or cervical spine. If soft tissue mobilization has not worked for you, there may be other issues at play.

This stretch/routine does the trick! I was hit by a truck back in 13 and fractured my C6 which is the vertebrae above the indirectly connected to T1 ie where your shoulders meet your back, throw in some neck rotations and feel the not melt away
