@livingplanetaquariumut: This sound except it's just our penguins pouting that they're molting... 🪶🐧 Our gentoo penguins are currently in the middle of molting season! Also known as the "catastrophic molt", this is when penguins shed all of their old feathers to make room for new ones. The molt takes anywhere from two to three weeks, and during this time, they eat a lot and aren't able to swim. So you'll likely find them looking a little bigger and standing, lying, or hiding around waiting for their molt to be over.
