I guess it depends if they’re a hive mind or not? Because if they’re a hive mind, they are the same person controlling two different bodies, therefore body A is is an extension of body B. But if they have two separate consciousnesses, then I suppose they count as different iterations of the same person, and therefore, different people. If we view them as separate people bc they have separate consciousnesses, then it is not, it is just horizontal dancing.

if it's the same character, but set at two different points in that characters life/storyline, then it's definitely not the same no. Because that's fundamentally two different people with two different life experiences. yes one has experienced the first's life, but is no longer at the point of living through it, and can view that time period with hindsight etc

Personally, I feel like it’s too close too tw1ncest/1ncest. Like, you are yourself and you know yourself for your whole life, I feel like you would feel more of a kinship to yourself than see yourself as a love interest. Sure, you yourself weren’t raised with them, but you still went through the same experiences, kind of like how a lot (not all) siblings were raised together. Even if it were an alternate universe version of you, it’s still you. I feel like if this alternate version stops sharing blood 100% does it feel more acceptable (TO ME). As much as it sounds nice on paper, it doesn’t look good in practice. Anyway nobody has to agree to this, this is just my opinion don’t attack me… it’s just not my cup of tea. ;-;
