Hannibal is terrifying because he doesn't care. Outside of himself and his sense of superiority, he doesn't care. He ranks so high in ASPD that it's definitely terrifying to people who can't begin to understand what ASPD is or what it feels like. I have ASPD and watching Hannibal (as Mads portrays him) is like watching a carefully tailored husk. It's just this massive intimidating void, all consuming. I enjoy edits that show his 'softer side', whether there with Will or when he's pretending to care about people. But I definitely enjoy edits like this too, because yeah, he's a nightmare.

I will die on this hill but Mads Mikkelson was a better Hannibal then Anthony Hopkins was. Mikkelson was believable of an intelligent psychopath. Hopkins felt like the literal devil.

This scene really showed how terrifying he could be cuz he always walked and moves slowly and carefully even with his speech it’s very muted and slow but it’s all an act it makes how quick and focused he is more jarring
