You hit across the rack. You need to hit straight on directly from the line you’re on. A hit just below center ball on the cute ball. And hit it really hard. You’re looking for the 1 ball to go in the side with that or the corner ball to go 4 rails. In this example it’s the 5 ball. Since you’re on the left side, the right side corner ball will travel. This is for hand racked 10 ball only. For template you hit from just off center line. Medium speed just above center ball on the cue ball with the stick slightly elevated. You want the cue ball to pop up after hitting the one. Then the second row balls will go to the side pockets. One will usually go in the other will be just short depending on what side you hit from.
