I worked at the cba for 13 years and this is very common. They are the worst bank and even worse to work for.

This isn't a new thing, many companies have been doing this. It's now hit the banks and this is shocking.

The Chatbot sucks. I tried multiple times and it was so useless. Switched banks in minutes.

When people go to customer service usually they are upset about something not working or etc. a chat bot does not know how to calm people down and it doesn't get people answers right away it just tells people to go to a manual.

I worked at CBA for six years, and my whole team was eventually made redundant after they introduced AI into credit card dispute transactions. Before that happened, we were moved to another department with a new team leader and asked to test the new system. Honestly, it was faster and more accurate than us manually processing disputes, so the change made sense even though it was tough on us. I’m with another company now and doing well, though I do sometimes wonder how long it will be before AI can step into this role too

AI is NOT performative. It’s there to triage customers into the right call queue with a bit of general assistance to begin with. AI is only there for a better customer experience and CANNOT replace human interaction
