Everything you need to know about warm-ups 👇 Warm-ups get heavily overcomplicated and before you know it you've wasted half of your workout time. The best warm up for a movement is the movement itself. Add in a brief R.A.M.P protocol if needed but then just get to it. Here's my favourite protocol: 1. Movement sequence (combines the R.A.M nicely) Example: Walkouts > Toe Reaches > World's Greatest Stretch x 2-3 rounds (5 mins max!) 2. Potentiation: if starting with Plyos, this will be extensive versions to prep key tissues and joints. If strength training, this can still be the above, then also sets on the exercise itself 👇 Warm-Up Set 1: 50% of working weight x 6-10 reps Warm-Up Set 2: ~75% of working weight x 4-6 reps Warm-Up Set 3: 85-90% of working weight x 2-4 reps Working Set! Rest can be limited between warm-ups, depending on load lifted (more load = more rest). Then, just make sure you rest for at least 2 minutes before your first working set. Efficient. Effective.
