I read to my kids every night and by kindergarten they were reading. Also spent weekends at the library. These parents think they don’t have to parent. It’s ridiculous

I’m 100% sure each teacher has mentioned it to her, but she didn’t take it seriously. These parents like to cry tears but they never listen when teachers are ringing the alarm.

Not any more. Funding for PBS was cut. No more Sesame Street and other programs like it… How long before public libraries have their funding cut?

I started reading to my kids the moment I found out I was pregnant. I read to them in my women and until about 5 years old. kindergarten. once they started to learn I had them read to me. every night. they all read advanced. and my girls tested gifted in English. it really doesn't take any time. you make it a priority.

I just got hooked on phonics for my son, he just started kindergarten. Level one and two, going to have him do it every weekend to make sure hes keeping up in class
