That’s one of the most conflicting episodes for me to watch. I get PTSD is very real and you can’t control the triggers, but for them to not even push for some sort of “your a danger to others, you need to step back from surgery and get treatment.” Wiiild to me. They kicked Richard for a relapse but not Owen for a mental health crisis?

And then he joked it off in therapy, meanwhile Christina had also already had severe trauma and also wasn’t able to properly recover until much much later, especially after the plane where he only made it worse💀 he never should have been allowed to practice medicine with the symptoms he was having. He should have been hospitalized himself. His complete lack of acceptance and accountability is a huge reason I just hate his character. How anyone can just overlook this and say “the hate for Owen is unwarranted” I honestly can’t understand.

The problem wasn’t his PTSD, it was the fact that he, like many characters on the show and also like many in the military, was anti-mental healthcare so he likely knew that his time overseas had impacted him but refused to get the help he needed, so that’s why he was in that situation in the first place
