No cuz my Dungeon master threw a 700hp boss at me (Level 4 at the time) because i lockpicked a door i wasnt supposed to. He said roll me a 100. I asked him if im allowed to use the D100 (yes, he has that), He said yes and guess what happened

1 - kill character without them knowing... 2 - Every shop keeper is naturally excellent in their business convincing, even compared to adventures. Basically an auto fail. 3 - reroll. If they object, read suggestion 1 4 - let them write it down. 5 - trap for blinding them

One time I (with consent) told a player they were under a powerful mind control and to stop the party from completing the puzzle at any point they could… they interpreted that as “off myself as fast as I can” which was like the exact opposite to what I tasked them to do

Here’s a way I did it in one of the campaigns I was in every time my character walked into a town I would teleport to a bar and I would stay drunk and I was “invincible” while I was drunk

I kept my characters parents a secret then revealed announced they were the drunken child of two random people and bargained for them to be established characters and to be a demigod. one parent was tiamat. the other was some old wizard the dm didn't know, Fizban the fabulous. He was less than pleased when I mentioned it technically should have 2 draconic ancestries.
