It’s scary. My kids aren’t angels but they’re kind which seems to be a foreign language for some. When I think of some of the parents of my friends when I was growing up who would lie for us and supply booze, etc. it makes a lot of sense though. Some kids don’t get good parents unfortunately..

I agree. Respect for other people and their property was a major priority in their upbringing. I'm trying to give them a taste of how people will treat their behavior without just tossing them directly into it. Respect is a big thing in our house. Too many parents are trying to be their kids friends rather than the mentors, guides, and authoritarian leaders they need to be.

I will tell you a lot of the reason we left the district cause my youngest daughter was getting bullied in the 1st grade and my 6th grader was getting bullied and punched. the school wouldn't do much. it's only been about a month but so far I have noticed a big difference switching schools.
