Everyone 45+ needs to have at least an annual physical with a GP, full blood work, and a cardiology exam. So many health problems can be caught early if you look for it.

I understand what you were saying. We can’t keep delaying the things that bring us joy until after retirement. My dad lived to 96 and really didn’t retire until his mid 80s, he was a contractor and just couldn’t stop doing projects. Your dad was given an incredible gift because the family needed him to be there! 🥰 I believe everything happens for a reason

Walking is a simple way to stay healthy. Main focus is reducing eating. Change what you eat and how much you eat.

My MIL is 100 y.o. She retired over 40 years ago. She has slowed down, stopped traveling uses a rolling walker and has hearing aids but she is sharp as a tack mentally, and still physically does whatever she can for herself. She stopped eating fried food long ago and has always eaten a lot of veggies.She says she’s going to keep going this way just as long as she can. She’s an amazing example of good living.
