one of the best things away from the UK is being able to see any dr you want and any CF centre you want to go to. not happy ? move centres !
the dieticians here would see you and organise you all your meals snacks and extras. they put your name on it and have to be delivered under the dieticians directions. Further , she has to follow directions under CF guidelines.
seems you need to stock up on CF friendly snacks for when you get admitted and food. also arrange someone like a family or friend to drop you off high calorie meals. those drinks compared to Ensure Plus or Fortisip, are less per ml. I would encourage you to discuss with the dietician. one or two of these a day in addition to snacks would top you up.
if your unit has a microwave I'd also get some meals to cook late at night , add to that some chips (you call those crisps and some. choc bars) all of this is encouraged by CF dieticians. People here can order two or more of anything of the menu as well.

it's a shame your facility is so far from shops. most CF patients here order McDonalds burgers etc. wagamammas isn't that high in calories. I suggest you add sour cream butter and stuff like that too to.potatoes.
here, in CF patients want to get up at that time anyone is fine with that..
what's the logic with waking up a CF patient so early ? you need all your rest !! here the physios and staff work around the patient.
being off appetite is normal if your sick. grilled haloumi and chips isn't enough calories for you. can you go to the vending machine somewhere ?? for a chocolate etc ?
you could do better than those shakes too. they have higher calorie ones. I like how the dieticians here really work with the dept the patient and their family. can your family bring in some high calorie foods like beef stroganoff etc.
weight is just as important as antibiotics etc.
