The penalty for disobedience isint just relegated to the prophet. That principle applies to every believer that disobeys God. In this sense the penalty of disobedience serves as a manifestation of what Peter describes as suffering due to sin (1 Peter 4:15). When we disobey God, we live out the fruit of disobedience.
