A straightforward solution would be to prioritize the return of European citizens from Schengen member states (excluding Albania, which is not part of Schengen) in order to address the current labor shortage. At the same time, the issuance of work visas and residency permits for third-country nationals should be suspended, with only limited exceptions, at least until the migration crisis is resolved. Such measures could be implemented immediately, which raises the question of why the current situation is being portrayed as so dramatic. 👾
