correlation is not causation, I'm sure immigrants are going to want to move to the dynamic, urban, high growth states

He also forgot that Eisenhower also stated that any company who can't pay a living wage doesn't deserve to remain a company.

Let’s make this simpler. If fast food is meant for teens who will work them during the day when the kids are at school?

If they were meant for teenagers then they wouldn’t be open between 7:30-2:30 and fast food has always been open that long

Also, the first dudes argument just doesn’t make sense. Fast food jobs—and server jobs, and pretty much any other hospitality jobs—would’ve been associated with teenagers because they were flexible enough for a teenager’s schedule, unlike your average 9-5. But even a passing at scrutiny could tell you that it being just (or even primarily) for teenagers doesn’t make sense. Teens—even college age ones—are in school during the day for, what? 9 months out of the year? Stores and restaurants aren’t just gonna close for all the time. They’re gonna be open and serving customers. Which means they need workers who /aren’t/ in school. I.e. adults. We’ve just seen an influx of this in recent years because A. Consumer culture has made us want things at every god given hour of the day and night, requiring more people to ensure those hours are staffed and B. Traditional so called ‘low skill jobs’ like manufacturing all but vanished, replaced with hospitality and service like jobs instead. If an influx of immigrants coincided with these changes, its possible the jump started the economic changes above. Or it could be another case of correlation not proving causation.

Some McDonalds are open for 24 hours or close at 1 or 2 am and High School kids can’t do night shifts. They’re only allowed to work until 9 PM on summers and weekends and if it’s a school day the next day they can not work after 7 PM. It’s the adults who work the night shifts.

isn't it also crazy that back in the day a grocery store clerk could make enough to live comfortably like grocery baggers would make a modest amount but now we don't respect these jobs

Yk if the minimum wage kept up with worker productivity then immigrants wouldn't have to work extremely long shifts. Nobody would have to. It would lead to people earning more which leads to the government earning more money with taxes which boosts the economy and leads to job creation (or just tax the rich like you should)

The way he should have said “they were jobs for teenagers until the billionaire class destroyed manufacturing industries and turned the economy into mostly retail and service jobs and ya know working people still need to pay rent”

If someone isn't paid enough to live, while having a full time job, then how is paying by time fair at all? PEOPLE NEED TO LIVE. If you want society to function, and think it should actively be starving the people who make it function, you are the scum of the earth.
