I was young when I had my son and did because was sold as hygienic, infection preventing and “what you do”. As I have grown older and looked into it a bit more, it feels gross to me. Almost 27 years too late.

I have two daughters. My first research into circumcision was when my daughter had a boy and they left him intact. I did the work so that I would know how to care for him when he was with me.

No one is forced to circumcise their sons. It’s usually done for easier hygiene. Period. Because a lot of men were raised unaware of the issues and lost the ability to usage without it as an adult. And adult circumcising is way harsher

It is not an unnecessary surgery. I’m assuming you have never met a man who had to have a circumcision as an adult. As a baby, it’s no big deal. It’s over in a few minutes and invasive. As an adult, it’s a major surgery.

I work with patients who are mostly male adults in the US, and I've noticed that the vast majority of them have "peyronies disease" or "penis deformity" in their diagnoses list, and for years I've been wondering why it's so common. I thought it was the specific population I work with, but I just recently realized it's probably across the board with American men because we circumcise everyone here. It's barbaric and completely medically unnecessary.

For those who are pro-circumsion, please look up the origin of the procedure in the US. It was started by a group of Victorian quack doctors who promoteed it as a "cure" for masturbation. The cleanliness propaganda came later.
