I always been a little jealous of current pregnant Mom’s and their clothing options. I was pregnant in the early 80’s. Maternity clothes then were hideous.

Maternity leggins and oversized tops. The leggins are the most comfortable! Oversized sweaters… whatever on top… tight on bottom. ( also a shorty mum).

I was pregnant with my youngest 10 years ago and it sounds like nothing has changed 😔. I bought a few belly bands and would wear my regular jeans unbottoned with the belly band over top. Maybe that would be helpful?

My tip after being so big everyone asked if I was having twins LOL - just get tons of larger sized dresses - empire waist is great stretchy body on is great too. Long skirts over the bump with crop tops are also cute. And invest in like two packs of long maternity biker shorts (like not athletic ones cloth ones that come in multiple packs from Amazon) and you’ll feel so so comfy

I’m 5’1 as well….and had my first at 42 when my style was well established. I bought a lot on Poshmark for maternity clothes. Target was a close second. No one sells maternity clothes anymore, especially petite maternity clothes!

Back in the 80s and 90s it was even worse! I used to say, “I’m having a baby not becoming one!” Large collars like a pilgrim, blue, pink, yellow with storks everywhere. Think baby on board. 🤣 I went to the plus size section and invested in some cute maternity jeans that were a fortune at Mother Care in the mall . 🍼👶🤰 You could also buy some larger more classic styles and have them tailored. Start your own line!

I bought some cute maternity clothes for my daughter in law off of Amazon. Tights and fitted shirts. They were really cute and the shirts transfered into nursing shirts.

Google the the store motherhood . I used to shop them but they used to have and actual store . I think they are in kohls now . Babies r us used to sell them to . Babies r us are coming back
