The song was written by founding member Randy Bachman and was first released on the Canadian rock group's December 1975 album, Head On. It was issued as the second North American single from the album in early 1976. Randy Bachman himself provides the lead vocal for the track, which features a smoother, more reflective groove compared to the heavy, boogie-rock style BTO was most famous for.
