@theplanttechie: 🌱 Have you ever grown a pineapple guava before? 🍍✨ This plant is such a rare find and quickly becoming one of my absolute favorites! The flowers are stunning, the petals are edible, and later in the year it drops sweet egg-shaped fruit that you can harvest 😍🙌 Plus, the evergreen leaves with their silvery underside make it beautiful year-round. I don’t see these often at big box stores, so when I do, I grab them right away! If you’re growing pineapple guavas, I’d love to hear from you—drop a comment below! 💬👇 #pineappleguava #gardening #rareplants #fruitlover #gardentok

I have one but didn’t realize I needed two! 😭 I got mine from a local arboretum. I’ll have to keep an eye out for their next sale!

You can eat the light pink petals of pineapple guava flowers. They are very sweet, almost like honey. The best time to harvest them is in the morning when they are plump and full of dew. Make sure to leave the red part with the stamens so the plant can still produce fruit later.
