@koolah.creek.highlands: Donnie is in for a shock ⚡ we've spent the last week of dry weather making a start on some major fencing jobs. This end of the paddock hasn't been energised in a few days while we finish the connecting fenceline... And the calves have figured that out! Two of our young cows need extra pellets to support them while they feed their young calves - they calved just weeks after the major flood in May, and this winter has been a less than ideal start to motherhood. So they are separated into temporary feeding pens, to ensure they eat their share. (The older cows don't need any extra and would happily steal theirs!). Yes, this unelectrified temporary fence is enough to keep the adults where they are supposed to be - quiet, well behaved cattle make life SO easy! Donnie, of course, thinks that the fence was put here purely for his own entertainment 😂 He's in for a shock, because the paddock is finally connected to the energiser again... ⚡ Let's hope he figures it out with a body part that isn't his tongue! 😬
