@stlpublicradio: In a few months, St. Louis Public Radio will launch a new initiative meant to facilitate local conversations between people across historical divides in the St. Louis region. As we build the program, we want to include your input. What are some lessons you’ve learned when trying to have hard conversations with community members you might not agree with? Comment them below to let us know so we can incorporate them into our new initiative next year. ⬇ #STL #stlouismo #MO
I think when we take away polarizing language we find more in common than not: family, freedom, safety, and a thriving working class

I've become much more jaded about stuff like this. After coming of age during the hopecore Obama years I've become emotionally worn from trying to dialogue with certain folks. I find these things often benefit oppressors more and require a lot of mental and emotional battery of minoritized and oppressed people.
I try to support the folks who still have the energy for stuff like this though.
