For people not understanding. Imagine this. "There are 100 doors, 1 has a car and 99 has goats, you pick door '1'. Then the gamehost opens 98 other doors with goats behind them. You get the option to choose to change doors again would you do it?" That means that you had 1% chanse of picking the right door with the car behind it but if you were to switch then you would have a 99% chanse of getting the car if you changed doors because the host oppened all the other ones you could of picked. Same thing with 3 doors.

Am I slow or something? When he opened door and there was goat you are left with 2 doors. Does not matter if you stick with your choice or not it's 50/50.

Its Just a 50/50 and nothing more, when the game master opened one door and leaves the door with either a car or a goat from 1/3 it became 1/2

But what if the host doesn’t know which door contains the car? Then is it 50/50 😂

It’s still 50/50. What if a friend was playing the game and picked the other door that was not opened, who then has 66% and who has 33%? Doesn’t make any sense. They both have 50% each, hence 50/50.

I hate this question. It's clearly 50/50. When you start, the chance is 1/3. When the host opens one of the doors, that door gets taken away from the pool of possible outcomes. You now have 2 doors left. The chance is 1/2 or 50/50.

But its still a 50/50 bc you dont know where the 33.333333333333333333… went so now you need to pick on the 50/50 chance on which one do you think is the 66.6666666666666 so it basically the ither one has a 66.6666666… chance and the other one has a 33.333333… chance but you dont know hich one is which so to pick the right one it is 50/50 chance. (And ofc a 33.33333333333… chance might be the correct one bc 66.666666… is not a hundred.

If i pick door 1 and he shows door 3 is a goat… door 2 is 66.67% the car… but if i picked door 2 and he shows 3 is a goat, then door 1 becomes 66.67%…. It doesnt make sense and its still 50/50

Let me explain. I’m Asian 😁. At first, your chance to pick right is 1/3 (only 1 car among 3 choices), then if you switch, you lose. But what if at first, you pick wrong your chance to pick wrong is 2/3 (the chance to pick 2 goat out of 3 doors). Now, when the host shows the other door with the goat, you switch, ofcouse you win. Hence, the probability of switching to win beats luck

For the people that don’t understand (myself included), it is more intuitive to see this if u have 100 doors; say u choose a door initially, there is 1/100 chance and 99/100 chance u guessed wrongs ok, now the host opens all the 98 doors that did not have anything behind; is it better to switch or to not switch?

But fundamentally your odds won’t change. If you have 100 doors and you pick one. Odds are 1/100 or 1%. When you remove every door except 2, the probability doesn’t shift to 99% on the other door. What if the host showed you and removed the doors immediately before choosing… the odds would be a 1/2. Similar math applies here. Of course is a 1/2 better than a 1/100, yes but when broken down, a 1/100 to 99/100 odds wouldn’t apply when down to 2 doors.
