It is truly regrettable to witness accidents on railway crossings, especially in those that are heavily trafficked. Responsibility should not fall on the driver, but rather on the lack of safety measures and prevention from the municipal government. The absence of proper signage and adequate warning time is the main cause of these tragic incidents. It is urgent that the authorities fulfill their duty and guarantee the safety of citizens through effective signage and control measures. Unfortunately, in Mexico many railway crossings still lack the necessary warning signs to prevent these accidents.
