There’s not really much of a use for multi mode anymore unless you’re adding onto an existing network. Typically easier to just use single mode everywhere

I case of MM They don’t use the step index light transmission, and also rarely They us 62,5 fiber due to the loss. The gradient light transmission is the most used with OM3, OM4, OM5 fibers

Starting to run singlemode as MM cant rech between our building and when it does it cant provide the speeds that single mode can.

The only problem with multi mode is that the cost more then single so people chose cheaper stuff on projects
