Human life was never meant to run on high alert forever, we are meant to slow down, to breathe, and to cherish the people around us. Here are glimpses from my first four days in Vihiga County, where I went to lay my grandmother to rest. She lived a full 101 years, a testament to grace and resilience. In those days, I shared laughter, stories, and silence with my aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Moments I will carry with me.
