Alma, the largest ship in the flotilla, was struck by an incendiary drone, according to the boat's management. Earlier in the day, a drone struck the Family Boat, the lead ship of the flotilla bound for Gaza at Sidi Bou Said port off the coast of Tunisia, organisers said. Speaking to Middle East Eye, Melanie Schweizer, a lawyer with the GSF, said that these attacks are a blatant violation of international law, emphasising that they took place in Tunisian waters. Schweizer also mentioned that an investigation is currently underway and that there are rumours suggesting possible US involvement in yesterday’s attack on the Family Boat.
