I feel like this also comes down to our education systems. we were taught over and over again that the reason we got integration was because MLK was this sweet guy who asked nicely. maybe it's different in other states but in the south where I'm from, they sort of teach that MLK was this sweet pacifist, and Malcolm X was violent, that MLK is the reason we have integration, that Malcolm made it worse by spreading violence. For people to realize that a revolution can't be done through just words, we need to advocate for history to be taught accurately.
