For the good that I desire to do, I do not do; but the evil I do not desire, that I practice.” • Colossians 3:5 “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” • Romans 8:13 “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” 3) The Nature of the Evil Twin (The Flesh) • Loves sin, comfort, and instant gratification. • Opposes Torah — resists obedience (Romans 8:7). • Looks alive but leads only to death. • Can disguise itself as “good intentions,” but always resists Yahuah’s ways. 4) Signs You’re Listening to the Flesh • Quick to anger, slow to pray. • Choosing convenience over obedience. • Craving recognition, applause, or control. • Excusing sin with “I’m only human.” • Knowing the truth but delaying action. 5) How to Defeat the Evil Twin 1. Recognize the battle – Admit the flesh is real and present. 2. Crucify the flesh daily – “I die daily” (1 Cor. 15:31). Choose obedience over comfort. 3. Walk in the Spirit – Fill your lamp with oil (Torah, prayer, obedience). When you’re full of the Spirit, the flesh weakens. 4. Feed the right twin – What you feed grows. Feed the Spirit (Word, prayer, Torah), starve the flesh (deny sinful cravings). 5. Remember Yahusha’s victory – He overcame sin in the flesh so that we could, too (Romans 8:3). 6) Reflection Questions • Where does my flesh (evil twin) show up most in my life? • Am I feeding my spirit more than my flesh? • What practical step can I take this week to crucify one work of the flesh? • How does walking in Torah guard me against my evil twin? 7) Closing Encouragement The evil twin (flesh) will fight hard until the end. But Yahusha has already won the war. By His Ruach, we put the flesh to death daily. You’re not fighting alone — every act of obedience is a victory.
