I dont know why gastroporesis is blowing up with young white women. I am not sure if its poor diet or maybe fallout from fasting or ed,s. But I truly believe that these Dr,s are truly baffled why they are seeing so many people come up with this with normal weights and labs.

I didn't know you can diagnose gastroporesis by labs. gastric emptying study is what I was told. would he be willing to do that for you ?

Find a neuro gi, they specialize in motility disorders and will be worlds apart from a regular gi!

I’m so sorry they did that to you 😔. GI’s and other specialists can be the worst. On a different note massage (especially shiatsu) has actually been super helpful for my crohn’s pain management! I know gastroparesis is different but just wanted to put it out there! Hope you get better care soon 🫶🏻

I dont have a dietitian, but gods I have been to so many GI docs. I have gastroparesis as well and a strong inclination that I might have MCAS that was wrongly dx as chronic autoimmune Urticaria. Every gastro I have seen has said, "Well, its bad, bit its not that bad." Like ok, I throw up so much that I have lost a job too it, but its not "bad" enough. I guess its only bad enough to treat once you can only tolerate liquids only.

It makes me so sad when I hear doctors being dismissive and gaslighting, especially GI doctors. I feel so privileged to have my GI doctor. She is absolutely amazing and has gone above and beyond for me.

told my GI the new biologic my surgeon recommended and he said he'd wait until after the colonoscopy (surgery) to see if i actually did have fistula (what surgery was for) and then he would decide what to do about my medicine since hes me gi and my surgeon is the surgeon. I had surgery 2 days ago.

I got really lucky with my GI Surgeon he is the best!!! If I were you I’d get a different GI Doctor since he has no familiarity of gastroparesis like me

This is happening to me. Apparently they are “too rare” and I’m “too young” to have them even tho over 5 piece of documentation and 3 drs have confirmed all my diagnosis!
