It’s a shame trans ppl aren’t studied more esp with HRT. It could be super useful for isolating more specific hormone interactions with medications, sociological impacts of gender, all sorts of things! I love learning about queer science so much! However I think there are sometimes instincts that are misguided/missing the bigger picture. For example, there have been a few studies that try to find genetic components to queer identities which can pretty much only be used for bad things. Like there’s no world in which that helps the queer community

see the scishow trans hrt video wasn’t even problematic on that level of being overly academic without paying attention to the human element and actually they just dropped straight up misinformation about transfem hrt and treated common anecdata like it was hysteria it’s bad bad
