@unko_fire: Replying to @TipsytheBarber Here are the 3 main materials we use to light up the fireknife: 1️⃣ Acoustic Sound Panel / Canec Board (aka “boards & donuts”) ➡️ Burn the brightest and the longest. ➡️ Not every hardware store always has them in stock, so you can also buy them already made from the Siva Afi Company, Mauga Mu, or Fl.Fire407 2️⃣ Towels ➡️ The most readily available and cheapest option ➡️ Downside: they burn out quick, so you’ll be changing them often. 3️⃣ Kevlar Wrap ➡️ Not as common, but really useful. ➡️ Most dancers I know wrap their donuts or towels with Kevlar to make them last longer. 🔥 Personally, I get my boards & donuts from @flfire.407.
