Good intention but bad execution. I’m tired of policies that make things more expensive. The rich get to continue polluting while regular people are forced to comply. There needs to be a more fair way that everyone is forced to reduce their emissions, not just middle and lower class folk.

It's my living headache... I live in Beijing for the past decade, in the plate lottery system for 9 years, and I still don't have the plate yet!!! though travelling to work is easy and convenient by public transport, spending the weekends in the mountains becomes either super difficult or super expensive to get a Uber or taxi ride back to the city.

Wrong. You still have to lineup for the EV plate. Right now it’s about 3-4 years for EVs. Also, even if you wait and get the plate, there’s one day of each week you are not allowed to drive. The day of the week depends on the last digit of your license plate.
