I dislike open carry for several reasons. #1, open carry scares some people. #2, you will be the first target in a violent situation because they know you are armed, #3 open carry can delay action by law enforcement in an active shooter situation because of officer safety.

Mr Sheriff, I feel with open carry that it might deter a criminal from committing a crime, most criminals don't want to get shot,and if they see people around them carrying a firearm they might think twice before committing a crime.
