These gyms purposefully require you to speak to a GM and the GM is never there. One gym has a class action lawsuit pending against it for this type of stuff.

Gyms do make it so hard to cancel your membership, I know because I went through it and it was a nightmare, I don't agree with what she did but I understand her being mad!!!
