For me it comes down to Nintendo’s business practice and their approach to indies like Palworld. THAT is why I haven’t bought a Nintendo game in years nor plan on buying a Switch 2.

Nintendo rlly wants me to buy a $500 console to play a $70+ game that has a $30 dlc of content that probably should’ve just been part of the base game to begin with, but also at the same time I don’t technically own any of it and my console can be bricked at any time even through doing normal things like using secondhand games or non-Nintendo products on it

I'm not buying it bc the price is ridiculous and the only games I would actually play already have what should be BASE GAME content as paywall DLC before the game is even out. So nah. Nintendo had their run w me. They gotta change before I even debate it.

I just don't really have any interest in the games that have come out, sadly. And, between my backlog on Steam and work, I just can't find it in me to recklessly buy a console without knowing if I'm gonna invest in it. I could maybe break if they port Baldur's Gate 3 to it but it's something I *really* doubt will happen. Otherwise, I just want to see if something interests me.

I need one major game I like or am interested in. Botw got me to buy the switch, donkey kong didn’t do it for me and honestly even if it was Mario I am a bit of a swing or miss with it. So I will need to wait if I even bother, I do sometimes skip Nintendo systems. Funny enough not with Xbox or PlayStation lol

For me I’m one of those Nintendo fans that will wait until the next generation of consoles com out before buying it. For example the switch 2 just came out so when the switch 3 comes out then I’ll buy the switch 2. After all the updates the prices go up and down and all the games come out. Don’t have $ to be wasting on a console with barely any games at the current time

For me there’s just not enough games announced to justify buying a switch and tbh I don’t think there will be for a long time given how they dig their heels in by not releasing a twilight princess remake, a new animal crossing, and I’m keeping an eye on what they do for Gen 10 Pokemon next year. But also the Palworld stuff is leaving a bad taste in my mouth

More like "Im not buying a switch 2 for 3 games and 100 ports of games I can already get on my PC when the console is half a G, they can brick it remotely at any time for any reason, and theyre pulling these slick stunts with patents trying to rig the market in their favor rather than just making good games."
