Add filters between the compressor, hose and gun. Also add a water trap. I like my H.F. guns.

You need to paint the compressor first

Spend more time on prep. Sand it, clean it, clean it again, degrease it, clean it again. Use a good primer. Lay it down in thin even coats. Let it dry (or tack up) before laying down next coat. Same with paint. Watch some videos on how to adjust the gun. 👌

The white desiccant filter from harbor freight are nice especially on compressors that build up lots of moisture so get some to put on after the regulator. And like people have said prep is key. 50% overlap each pass to keep everything even and smooth

spray pattern should be tight oval not frayed oval and distance should be two fist distance away. movement speed should be the speed of how you wipe a window.

Buy good quality paint and talk to the paint rep about the proper mixer and air pressure, he can also recommend the correct nozzle size

I know it might be common sense but when ur spraying always make sure it’s clean cuz with some paints if it’s a bit dusty it’ll bubble up and become all furry. And another one is don’t have too much air coming out like have abit more paint coming out than air cuz it comes out bad if u have more air than paint

When you wanna stop you would rather keep spraying and stop it away from whatever you are painting than deal with drips.

dude the 14$ harbor freight ones work very well, I buy them as a single use type of deal so I don't have to clean them after, and I paint cars with them. if you dial them right, make sure you have no moisture in the air they will give you a clean paint job. I did countless trucks with them.
