@whitefaceford: Extended Warranties Don’t Always Pay! Think your extended warranty has you covered? Think again. We’ve seen claims denied over unrelated issues like missing emissions parts, even when the repair has nothing to do with them. Ever had a warranty claim turned down? #WorkTruck #DieselProblems #TruckLife
My uncle bought a new ford f150. Had it a couple weeks and it started having engine noise. Took it to a shop and they said the timing tensioner was bad. They contacted the warranty company and the claim was denied saying my uncle didn’t do the proper oil changes. He didn’t have it long enough to even do an oil change.

I will leave my trucks government s*** in place when politicians stop jumping on airplanes to go everywhere... 🤷🏼♂️My truck is never going to produce anything near their carbon footprint flying all over the place. I don't fly so...

That’s also called. Don’t buy a Ford because everything else is gonna fall apart on it and if you’re smart if you delete your truck, you’re gonna keep all the parts and put back on if you need to claim Warranty

Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act they can’t deny the claim for unrelated mods

That’s not legal, the burden of proof is on the warranty company and/or dealer that a specific modification directly caused a failure. They can not legally deny a claim for no a/c because the truck is deleted. Magnuson Moss Warranty Act is the reference. I have sued and won on that law.

I was denied my claim for my 24 Raptor when turbo went out at 48k miles. Why you ask, because they claim I had no recorded oil changes. Therefore I hadn’t properly taken care of my truck

Deleted all my trucks new, dealerships still warranty them bc they want money, since I started deleting my trucks I haven’t needed to take a truck for warranty work… funny how that works

The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act (federal law in the U.S.) governs consumer product warranties, including cars. Under this law:
• A manufacturer can’t void your entire warranty just because you modified or replaced a part (like your exhaust)

I had a cat in my 7.3 Godzilla become “stopped up” and even though the truck had a blown moter at 40k miles and 2 sets of coil packs and injectors go out. All before 70k miles the extended warranty said they cove everything but cats on the exhaust under warranty

Yeah Harley Davidson tried that and it failed if the claim does not have anything to do with what was modified then they have to pay.

Yeah the exhaust most definitely can affect the turbocharger too much back pressure can cause slower spool times

I had my transmission repair warranty claim denied because of a leveling kit, oversized tires and pillar gauges !!!! I called and told Ford financing you won't get another payment from me till the transmission is fixed and I want written proof of my upgrades being the cause of failure !!! A few days later I received a call that the truck was having a new transmission installed 👍👍 😁😁

Won’t have to take it to the shop once it’s deleted. Majority of the probs are because of the emissions!!!

That’s not true. The dealerships around here will honor a warranty as long as the lead had nothing to do with sad problem. I was told that straight from the GMs mouth and he stood by it when my truck needed repairs under warranty

just stir the pot! :
also if you don't get your vehicle serviced by a shop or dealer on regular basis and keep proof they will deny you as well. its in the fine print.
