and honestly the whole aspec community has a problem with people saying cishets can't be queer because often it's used to exclude us on the basis of are aspec-ness. it was extremely used during the height of aspec exclusionism and for a while was a red flag we saw that usually denoted that someone was an exclusionist. I feel like we could also talk about how disdain for cishet-ness in queer communities often lead to aphobic and mspec-/bi-phobic sentiments (and hell even transphobic ones)

i’m a 53 y/o black woman, born and raised in the south (nc). i’ve always supported gay rights. did it first confuse me when topics of cis, queer, etc first began becoming a societal norm? yes, bc it was something new to me, but i wanted to understand and properly respect others’ lives. it’s not that hard to be a decent human being. 💜

Being queer-coded is basically being straight and wearing a lot of body glitter because it freaking looks good on you. Is it a little gay-looking? Yeah, probably. Does it make you look fabulous and you like that? Also yes! So why not wear it?
