it took me a long long long time to redefine and rediscover the feminine aspects of myself. as a very androgynous woman, who unconsciously surrounded herself with hypermasculine men, i had no idea what it looked like expressed in a healthy way. the patriarchy makes femininity feel like a disease. something that you should hide and feel ashamed of. shout out to all the girlys unlearning that ❤

i strongly believe women and girls that start to dress like a male in general as in baggy shirts all the time not brushing your hair not caring if your hygiene is taken care of and i get it maybe some people dont mind that at all but as a woman I used to not care but now I want to embrace my woman hood I love doing my hair, nails, putting lip gloss on, wesring my purses and wearing clothes that fit me! zi love it I am still working on my self esteem and confidence but as women we need to embrace feminism as a woman still😊

I think most incorrectly equate femininity to being girly. I think being girly is a type of femininity. However, it is not femininity in and of itself. Every woman has their own version of femininity and that’s beautiful!

Femininity is a wide spectrum. It should never be put in a box, but it’s always has a type of look of what people believe femininity is. And unfortunately due to misogyny and consumerism, we always correlate femininity with being “girly, soft and pink”. (Ngl thank you for posting this TikTok, it’s definitely not a topic that is brought up as often.)
