Your head defines your whole technique. ❌ If it moves too much or too late, your body follows it, your line breaks, and you start to fight the water instead of moving through it. Even half a second of delay when turning to breathe can make you lose balance and speed. 🔥 So when should you actually breathe? ✅ The rule is simple: your head should always move with your body, never on its own. When you’re not breathing, your head stays still. 🏊♂️ But as soon as your body starts to rotate for the next stroke, your head joins that rotation. You don’t twist or lift it first, you let it follow naturally. 💡 Think of it this way: ✅ When your shoulder opens for the breath, your head turns with it, not after it. You rotate just enough to get one goggle above the water, take your breath, and return your head as your body rotates back. 🎯 The result is clean timing, a stable body line, and no lost momentum. Your breathing becomes part of your rhythm instead of breaking it. 💪 And if you want to learn more about swimming from a World Championship finalist, don’t forget to follow.
