Also why can’t people acknowledge that pan/bi people can have preferences toward a gender? Astarion is canonically pansexual but he also canonically, through dialogue and his story, favors men.

I personally think Astsrion was originally written as gay but so many women liked him that they made him pan, and eventually all the companions were pan for the same reason. Astarion mostly just brings up men and liking men. love that for him 🤣♥

as a pansexual astarion fan, straight fans so often disregard his sexuality so it fits their character. astarion is gay in the most umbrella term. all types of queer people refer to themselves as “gay,” straight people are just sensitive over that label because it doesn’t appeal or apply to them directly.
