One of the best parts of getting older is learning to invest in true relationships and in yourself. Even better is when you get to do both at the same time. Keever always “fills my cup,” but this weekend it was overflowing. We painted weird pictures, lounged, laughed, and had the most ridiculously relaxing massages. If you’ve never asked me for advice, then you’ve never heard me say: “Get yourself some good friends.” And by good friends, I don’t mean the superficial ones. I mean the kind who lift you up when you think you can’t go on. The kind who cheer for you without jealousy or comparison. The kind who support you but also hold you accountable and tell you when you’re dead wrong. The kind you can sit with in silence and still call it a perfect day.
