@elysiaberman: To be clear this is not an open forum to dunk on female influencers just because we feel like it, I’m just sharing my experiences! #nyfw #influencers #nycinfluencer #nyc #newyork #fashionweek #nycfashion
Chloe king is perf example of maximalist but it’s so her style !! And she pulls it off so well💕

It’s LA. It’s the LA influences who now live in Nashville.

As someone who’s been attending Fashion Week for over 13 years, I used to stand outside the shows, hoping to sneak in, so I don’t understand the hate on influencers. However, it’s always important to be kind to everyone, whether they’re interns (some of the same interns from 13 years ago are now hiring me for jobs) or not.

I miss when it was just editors or people that directly work in fashion, the exclusivity was what make it special

The problem is the brands inviting the non-fashion influencers

I remember the full outrage in the industry when a brand sat BryanBoy next to Anna W! A blogger?! Front row?! 😂

Low key I think it’s the highly publicized Raising Canes and Amazon fashion shows that make NYFW seem so much less serious than its European counterparts. For those that remember the tents at Bryant Park it use to feel like it had glamour and respect.

when you have one of the biggest popstars in the world leaving an after party 15min in, and asking his staff as he walks out, 'is this really the party?', you know it's over for FW. 😬

Am I an influencer? No. Do I work in fashion? Also no. Did I watch this whole thing and nod enthusiastically in agreement with everything you said? Yes.

i agree but i also think it’s possible for ppl to genuinely like similar things whether it’s trendy or not , so i dont think the sunglasses example was a good one

i also think there’s a big difference between a true fashion influencer working in the fashion industry (like wisdom) & other random influencers who center around anything else who want to attend just because they’re an influencer😭 as someone working in the fashion industry in ny & has worked for nyfw, idk if yall know what i mean

i FEEL you on the parties!! i’m a smaller creator but i literally had a CONTRACT with one of the sponsors (&was supposed to finish the video inside the party) and was getting shoved by grown men trying to bring in big influencer girls & it was so frustrating/hostile tbh

Do you remember The Twitter account OHVogue That would share overheard conversations in the elevators of Vogue? I want the same for New York fashion week outside. I was standing outside with some photographer friends of the Marc Jacobs show earlier this year and there were some interesting conversations overheard.
